Dave Butterworth B.A (Hons) PCET

Dave has been a Coach and Trainer for over 30 years. During his working life he’s had a variety of jobs predominately within the public sector. Dave started in the Army and after eleven years joined the Police. As well as carrying out operational duties he found a liking to training. This started as a personal safety instructor and then a law trainer. Whilst in the training arena Dave went on to complete a variety of qualifications to enhance his skill, eventually achieving a Bachelor of arts Honours degree in Post-Compulsory Education and Training with Canterbury Christchurch University. His mantra for training stems from the Confucius saying; ‘Training is not about lighting a fire under someone, it is about lighting a fire within them’. With the delegates and the skills of Talk Shop Dave has the opportunity to promote this thinking whilst exploring the attitudes and behaviours displayed, challenged and changed.
Gary Dearlove Deakin
(Facilitator):
Gary has been working as a Behavioural Development Facilitator for over 25 years, having worked on many events and programmes from small sessions to large conferences. He has also been a lead designer and consultant on campaigns and projects in both the private and public sectors. He is passionate about helping people work, lead and manage safety, healthily, and with high levels of integrity and performance. He loves nothing more than to get into a room, (any room, with anyone) to help kick-start a good smattering of straight, smart talking – especially when that talking translates into the kind of action and improvement to be proud of.
